Levi Colwill scored the match-winner in Chelsea’s final game of the season against Nottingham Forest, as Chelsea defeated Forest 1-0 away at the City Ground.

It was a massive victory for Chelsea, as the Blues secured a spot in the Champions League next season.

Colwill showed composure to score the match winner, and had to retain same composure to make sure the defence didn’t concede a goal.

The Chelsea centre-back opened up about his goal in his post-match interview.

“In the first half I also nearly had a chance when Pedro put it over and I was hanging around the back trying to cause problems,” Colwill said.

“I got a bit lucky for the goal, but I was happy to score it!

“When I scored I couldn’t lose all my composure, I had to stay calm because we still had 40 minutes left to play, but it means everything. The boys have worked hard and we’ve got our rewards.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game, a hard atmosphere, but we’ve done it and we’re proud of it. We didn’t play the football we wanted to play but we got the job done and that’s the sign of a good team.”
