Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has made it clear that he is determined to lead the Blues to European silverware as they prepare to face Real Betis in the UEFA Europa Conference League final.

The Italian coach, who joined Chelsea last summer, is relishing the opportunity to add to the club’s proud European history.

Speaking ahead of the showdown, Maresca underlined the magnitude of the occasion—not just for himself, but for the club, the fans, and the wider Chelsea family.

“The main target is for sure, for the person it’s important, but the main target is to win again the European competition with Chelsea,” Maresca said.

“I think it’s something important for the club in this moment, for the fans, for everyone, because it means that we are going in the right direction.”

While the stakes are high, Maresca insists his preparation for the final remains unchanged. He believes treating every game with the same level of importance is key to building consistency and success.

“And personally I will try to prepare the game exactly in the same way I prepare all the rest, because I consider every game important,” he continued.

“For sure it’s a final that at the end decides the title, but we’re going to try to prepare the game in our best and hopefully we can win the title.”
A win against Betis would not only cap a successful European campaign, but also signal a strong foundation being laid under the new manager.
Chelsea fans will be hoping Maresca’s calm and focused philosophy translates into another memorable European night. With silverware on the line, the Blues have a chance to remind the continent that they remain a force to be reckoned with.
