Robert Sanchez has been Chelsea’s first choice goalkeeper in the Premier League this season. However, Blues boss Enzo Maresca has stuck with Filip Jorgensen in the Conference League.
Chelsea take on Real Betis in the UEFA Conference League final next Wednesday, and it appears that Jorgensen will continue in his role as the Conference League goalkeeper for Chelsea.
Speaking to the media in his press conference on Tuesday, Maresca confirmed that Filip Jorgensen will be starting against Betis in the final, admitting it will be unfair for Robert Sanchez to displace him.
“Filip is going to play the final because he played all the competition,” confirmed the Chelsea boss.
“It will be unfair now if he doesn’t play the final. For sure, Filip is going to play because he deserves to play.”
