In a crucial penultimate game of the season, Chelsea recorded a 1-0 victory Manchester United, courtesy of Marc Cucurella’s 71st minute header.

It was a tight game dominated by Chelsea, but chances were few, with both goalkeepers having little to do.

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was pleased with the outcome of the game, and hailed his side as deserved winners.

“It was quite confident because I know how difficult it is to play against United,” he said in a post-match interview with Sky Sports.

“Off the ball, I think we played a fantastic game.

“The team was very aggressive until the end, we tried to press higher, and I think we deserved to win the game.”

In the absence of his key strikers, Maresca highlighted the importance of finding solutions and executing them, saying, “It is nice to work on some solutions and then you score.”
