After a period of doubt, Chelsea are now edging close to a Champions League finish.
Currently, Chelsea are fifth, only behind Newcastle on goal difference. A top-five finish will be enough to qualify for the Champions League.
If the Blues are successful in their quest, it will be the first time in 3 years that Chelsea will make it to the Champions League.
Enzo Maresca has said he’s hopeful, and admits the future of the club is bright.
“For me, Chelsea because of the squad the future is bright for the club,” Enzo Maresca told the BBC after Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Liverpool.
“The win has been important, but it [the Champions League qualification] is not done. We need to play three games and go game by game.
“Now on Thursday we have the second leg – we need to be focused on that and try to reach the European final.”
