Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has won the Chelsea Player of the Season award as well as the Players’ Player of the Season award at the Chelsea end-of-season award ceremony.

The Ecuadorian who struggled in his first few months at the club, has been a key player for Chelsea this season.

Caicedo has displaced Chelsea star Cole Palmer as the side’s best player this season, and Palmer seems to agree.

Speaking to Sky Sports after scoring in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Liverpool, Cole Palmer heaped praise on Moises Caicedo, who was standing next to him.

“Today I felt confident, I was trying things, first-time passes, playing forward. When you have got him [Caicedo] in front of you, it’s a dream,” Palmer said.

“He’s a machine. From the start of the season, he has been our best player.

“Wins the ball back all the time. Always 100 per cent every day. Humble, nice to everyone, and everyone loves him.”
