4 PL games left: Maresca reveals number of points Chelsea are targeting

As the Premier League season races toward its conclusion, Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has issued a rallying cry to his players — finish strong and seize control of their European destiny.

With just four games left, Maresca has outlined what’s expected of his team: maximum effort, maximum points.

“We have four more games, starting with Liverpool, and hopefully, we can win as many as we can,” Maresca said.

Chelsea’s push for a top-five finish — and potential Champions League qualification depending on other competitions — is still very much alive. But with stiff competition and a tight table, every single point is now precious.

That’s why Maresca isn’t interested in speculation or relying on favours from other clubs. He wants his team to control their own fate.

“Chelsea needs to take control of their own destiny and maximise their points tally.”

That mission begins with Sunday’s blockbuster clash against Liverpool — a side that has gone on to win the league. But Chelsea’s recent form gives reason for optimism, and Maresca insists that every game, no matter the opponent, demands full focus.

“For sure, when you win games, it’s much better,” Maresca explained. “But every game is different history, a different game.”

The Blues still have huge tests to come: after Liverpool, they’ll face Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, and a final-day showdown that could decide their European fate. But Maresca is leaving nothing to chance. Preparation, he says, is everything.

“We will prepare each match in the best way we can and give it our all.”

From Cobham to Stamford Bridge and beyond, the message is loud and clear — four games, one mission – win all.

Can Chelsea finish strong and secure European football for next season?
