Chelsea have two crucial games coming up – as the Blues will first play Djugarden away from home in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League semi-final.

After the Djugarden game, Chelsea will then host Liverpool. While the game means nothing to the new Premier League champions, for Chelsea it’s a must-win game, as the Blues seek Champions League qualification.

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca spoke about the upcoming Liverpool clash during his press conference ahead of the UEFA Conference League semi-final first leg against Djurgarden.

When asked if the Liverpool match was a distraction, Maresca emphasised:

“First of all, we are trying to build a mentality, a winners’ mentality. You build that by trying to win every game. It is the only way to build a winning mentality. It is a matter of winning games.

“The players are aware that tomorrow is an important game but they are also aware that Sunday’s is a big game.”
