Chelsea previously attempted to sign Costa last summer, with an approach made in late May. That pursuit ultimately fell through, leading the Blues to land Filip Jorgensen from Villarreal instead.

With renewed interest from Europe’s elite, the upcoming transfer window could see Chelsea go head-to-head with Premier League rivals in a bidding war for the Portuguese star.

  1. No goalkeeper in this world can fit into Maresca’s team. By his standard the goalkeeper must be able to play and pass the ball like Fabregas. If even one has three opponent players pressurising, one must still pass. Who would not make mistakes in such situations. Please, until the coach is changed, bringing in a new keeper wouldn’t change anything.
