Chelsea moved up to 5th in the Premier League table following a 2-1 victory at Fulham on Sunday afternoon.
Alex Iwobi gave Fulham the lead in the 20th minute but two late goals from Tyrique George (83rd minute) and Pedro Neto in stoppage time secured a 2-1 win for the Blues.
Fulham manager Marco Silva said after Chelsea’s 2-1 victory that the result was harsh, as Chelsea didn’t deserve to win: “We were not able to play the second half very well, like we did the first.
“Unfortunately for us, we wanted to start the second half in the same way and were not able to connect some passes. Our build-up was not at the same level.
“They started to play in our half. I really believe the result is very harsh for us but the second half was not our level and we lost the game.”
For Enzo Maresca, his side deserved all three points.
“Very happy. First of all because I think we deserved to win the game,” Enzo Maresca told the media after his Chelsea side came from behind to beat Fulham 2-1.
“We started well in the first 20 minutes then we conceded a goal unfortunately and in a match that is must win, it’s not easy for the players.
“It becomes more difficult but second half, we also changed something tactically and it was much better. We were a little bit more dynamic with Malo Gusto inside. He is doing this fantastically for us since day one and second half we were much better.”
