Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr, home to Cristiano Ronaldo, are reportedly preparing a sensational €400 million summer raid to sign three of South America’s top football talents — and one of them is Chelsea’s midfield dynamo, Moises Caicedo.

According to Fichajes, Al-Nassr are looking to revolutionise their squad with world-class reinforcements. Top of their wishlist is Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr., for whom they’re prepared to table a record-breaking €250 million offer. But Chelsea fans will be more concerned with their interest in Moises Caicedo, a player seen as key to the Blues’ long-term project under Enzo Maresca.

The report claims the Saudis are preparing an offer worth over £100 million for the Ecuadorian midfielder, who joined Chelsea from Brighton for a British-record £115 million just last summer. While Caicedo had a mixed debut season at Stamford Bridge, his performances have steadily improved, showcasing the defensive steel, relentless energy and ball-winning ability that made him such a highly sought-after player.

Al-Nassr’s interest is part of a broader strategy to build a squad capable of rivalling the best in Europe. They’re not just after big names — they want proven, elite-level performers. Caicedo, still only 22, ticks all the boxes. He has Premier League pedigree, Champions League potential, and the kind of youthful dynamism that could anchor their midfield for years to come.

However, it’s difficult to see Chelsea sanctioning a sale this summer. The club fought hard to land Caicedo ahead of Liverpool and others, and he’s seen as a cornerstone of the midfield rebuild alongside Enzo Fernández. Unless the player himself pushes for the move — and there’s no indication he will — it would take an astronomical offer to turn Chelsea’s head.

For now, Chelsea fans can breathe easy, but with Saudi clubs showing an increasing willingness to spend big and target players in their prime, this is a situation worth monitoring.
