According to reports from Italy, Juventus are hoping to keep Chelsea’s Renato Veiga on loan for another season.

Renato, who joined Chelsea last summer from FC Basel, moved to Juventus on loan in January until the end of the season.

Juventus have reportedly been impressed with the performances of the 21 year old Portuguese international and they are now keen on keeping him at the club further.

Chelsea are demanding a €50 million fee for a permanent transfer for Veiga, a steep price for the Bianconeri, who are now aiming to prolong his loan spell instead.

There’s a sense that Chelsea are unlikely to agree to such a deal, but Juventus remain keen to make an attempt. They’ve been impressed by Veiga’s leadership qualities and his role in build-up play.
