Enzo Maresca names two young players that will play in a heated Polish atmosphere against Legia. This is what he says will happen

Chelsea visit Poland for the first leg of the quarter-final clash against Legia Warsaw.

It is expected to be a fully packed stadium and a heated atmosphere away in Poland.

Enzo Maresca has emphasised the need for his players to adapt to the hostile environment at the Polish stadium, and believes his players will be better off from this experience.

He said: “First of all, we try to show them some of the environment in this stadium so they can adapt and be ready. Always everywhere the environment in England is nice and tomorrow will be the same.

“We try to always give them the big picture, not only what they can do on the ball but off the ball.

“We need to experience this kind of game, this kind of moment. After tomorrow, we will be a better team, we need this.

“First of all, for sure, we cannot allow external things to change the way we behave. Personally, I played some games in Greece and Turkey, where the atmosphere is quite nice.”

When asked about the atmosphere in Warsaw and how it might impact team selection, Maresca reassured that his squad is prepared, and backed young duo Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George.

“They are ready. George is ready, Acheampong is ready. The young players are ready. Josh played two Premier League games in a row. Ty exactly the same. They are ready to play from the start,” Enzo Maresca shared.
