Lazio and Roma are the latest clubs to express interest in Jadon Sancho, with the winger facing an uncertain future at Chelsea, according to reports.
Sancho joined Chelsea on an initial loan deal from Manchester United on deadline day last summer, with a permanent transfer set at around £25 million—provided the Blues don’t finish in the bottom six.
The 25-year-old made a flying start at Stamford Bridge, delivering a man-of-the-match performance on his debut against Bournemouth and notching three assists in his first three games.
Sancho also found the net against Southampton and Tottenham in December, but since then, his form has dipped significantly.
The winger has yet to score in 2025 and has managed just one assist so far, leading to criticism of his performances.
Chelsea have the option to pay a £5m penalty fee to send Sancho back to United, and it’s believed he wants to return to Borussia Dortmund.
Reports indicate that the Blues are likely to make a decision on Sancho at the end of the season. According to TEAMtalk, four clubs are now interested in signing him.
The report states that as well as Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Serie A sides Roma and Lazio are also monitoring the situation.
Ultimately, the decision rests on Sancho’s performances for the remainder of the season. If he steps up and delivers, Chelsea may reconsider keeping him. However, if his struggles continue, he could be making the decision very easy for the club to let him go.
