Chelsea’s highly-rated South American talent, Kendry Paez, is set to embark on his first European adventure with a loan move to Strasbourg, according to French outlet L’Equipe.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has already arrived in London and is currently adapting to life at Cobham, where he is getting a feel for his new surroundings.

However, with Chelsea keen on ensuring he gains regular first-team experience, a loan move appears to be the most likely outcome for next season.

Paez isn’t expected to be the only promising youngster heading to Strasbourg. Mathis Amougou, the French midfield prospect Chelsea secured in January 2025, is also set to join the Ligue 1 club.

With both players highly regarded by the Chelsea hierarchy, their potential loan spells in France could be crucial in shaping their development before making their mark at Stamford Bridge.
