Jadon Sancho’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain, with recent reports suggesting the club could opt out of making his loan move permanent by paying a ₤5 million fee at the end of the season.

According to The Athletic’s Chelsea reporter, Simon Johnson, the likelihood of Sancho staying at Stamford Bridge appears slim. Speaking on the Straight Outta Cobham podcast, Johnson shared his thoughts on the situation, stating:

“I would be surprised as things stand if Jadon Sancho ends up as a Chelsea player.”

Sancho has struggled to make a lasting impact since joining Chelsea, with his last goal coming in December and his most recent assist recorded in January. Despite his undeniable talent, his time at the club has been underwhelming.

At this stage, Chelsea have yet to make a final decision on Sancho’s future, but Manchester United are expected to push for a permanent sale if the Blues decide to send him back.
