Chelsea have received a massive boost ahead of their crucial Premier League clash against Tottenham, as Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke have returned to training.
According to Daily Mail, Palmer trained today, March 28, for the first time since picking up a muscular problem. The English playmaker last featured for Chelsea on March 13 in the Champions League tie against Copenhagen but was forced to miss the Blues’ 1-0 defeat to Arsenal. His injury also ruled him out of England’s World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia.
Before his injury, Palmer had endured a dip in form, with Daily Mail noting that he has not registered a goal or assist since January 14, when he scored in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth.
Noni Madueke has also rejoined the first-team squad, with Daily Mail’s Kieran Gill confirming his presence in Chelsea’s Friday training session. The winger has been sidelined for six weeks with a hamstring injury, with his return carefully planned for after the March international break.
With Nicolas Jackson already back in training earlier this week, Enzo Maresca now has an almost fully fit squad to choose from ahead of the Tottenham showdown.
