Chelsea loanee Djordje Petrovic has earned high praise from Strasbourg’s technical director, Pascal De Maesschalck, for his impressive development during his time in France.
The Serbian shot-stopper, who joined Strasbourg on loan from Chelsea, has been a key figure for the Ligue 1 side this season.
De Maesschalck has highlighted Petrovic’s progress and hinted that his future looks bright beyond this campaign.
“Look at Petrovic, for example, who came to Racing playing at Chelsea last year: it wasn’t easy to convince him,” De Maesschalck said.
“He has progressed, he is the goalkeeper who touches the most balls in Europe. The club where he will play next year will have a very good goalkeeper. Thanks to the Racing project.”
Petrovic has made 24 appearances for Strasbourg this season, keeping 8 clean sheets while conceding 29 goals. His performances have caught the eye, and it remains to be seen whether he will return to Chelsea or move elsewhere in the summer.
