Chelsea’s latest signing, Geovany Quenda, has yet to make his senior debut for Portugal, but he is already being tipped for greatness— even by some of the biggest names in the national team.

Manchester City star Bernardo Silva has been particularly impressed by the 17-year-old talent, acknowledging just how gifted the teenager is.

“He might steal my place. It’s impressive how good he is at that age,” Silva said, as per The Athletic.

Quenda won’t be taking Silva’s spot at Man City, though. Instead, he has committed his future to Chelsea, signing a long-term contract with the Blues. However, the highly-rated youngster will continue his development at Sporting CP on loan next season before making his move to Stamford Bridge in 2026.

With praise from one of Portugal’s finest, Chelsea fans have every reason to be excited about what Quenda could bring to the club in the near future.
