Chelsea’s pursuit of Victor Osimhen may not be over just yet, as a key revelation from his international teammate suggests the striker has a soft spot for the Blues.

Osimhen was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge last summer, with Chelsea coming close to an agreement before negotiations stalled. However, the Blues could still hold an advantage in the race for his signature after Nigeria captain William Troost-Ekong confirmed that the Napoli star is a Chelsea fan.

“I know he’s a Chelsea fan, but I also know he’s had talks with all the top teams,” Troost-Ekong told talkSPORT. “It’s up to him what he chooses. He will fit into every team.”

Despite ongoing speculation surrounding his future, Osimhen himself recently admitted he remains uncertain about what’s next.

Speaking late last month, the 25-year-old said he “still does not know” what the future holds for him once his loan spell at Galatasaray ends.

With Chelsea in desperate need of a prolific striker, this revelation could reignite hopes of finally bringing Osimhen to Stamford Bridge.
