Chelsea loanee Andrey Santos has reiterated his desire to play for the Blues in the future, but the young midfielder is keeping his focus on finishing the season strong with Strasbourg.
The 20-year-old Brazilian, currently gaining experience in Ligue 1, spoke about his ambitions and long-term goals while acknowledging that patience is key.
“Of course you want to play for the biggest clubs in Europe, for a very big club like Chelsea,” Santos admitted.
“Of course you dream of that moment, but I think the moment is to have a clear head, finish the season here to make the best choice when the season is over.”
Since joining Strasbourg on loan, Santos has been working hard to develop his game and adapt to European football. While his future remains uncertain, he understands that football careers evolve with time.
“There’s still a lot of water to run under, I’m very young, I’m 20 years old. Your mindset ends up changing a little the older you get. Let it go, give it time and, who knows, in the future, we’ll see what happens,” he added.
Chelsea fans will be encouraged by his commitment and ambition, as they await to see whether he can make his mark at Stamford Bridge in the coming seasons.
