Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has revealed the key aspect of his game that he is focused on improving—his impact in the final third.

Speaking about his development, the Spaniard admitted that he wants to contribute more with goals and assists.

He said: “One of the things that I felt that I could improve upon was my ability in the last third – more goals and more assists.”

Cucurella has had a more attacking presence this season, finding himself in goal-scoring positions and making a difference in Chelsea’s forward play. He is pleased with his progress but remains determined to keep improving.

He went on: “I would say this season I have had the opportunity to score a few goals. I’m very happy because I feel very good and I’ve been able to help the team.”

Beyond attacking contributions, Cucurella is known for his relentless work rate and commitment on the pitch, something he takes great pride in.

He concluded by saying: “I always try to give the best for my team and I always try to leave everything on the pitch for my team. I always try to win.

“I think they are the best things I can have as a player. Now I’m even a goalscorer! Hopefully, I can score a lot more goals and I’m very happy.”

Cucurella’s form has been a bright spot for Chelsea this season, and with his continued focus on improvement, Blues fans will be eager to see how he evolves in the attacking phase of the game.
