Chelsea forward Joao Felix will not remain at AC Milan beyond the end of the season, as the Italian club has opted against making his loan move permanent, according to reliable journalist Matteo Moretto.

The Portuguese attacker joined Milan on a six-month loan in January, with the Rossoneri paying £5 million for the deal. Despite a good relationship between the two clubs, no buy option was included in the agreement, though a potential deal could have been negotiated.

However, Felix has failed to impress in Serie A, managing just one goal and no assists in 10 appearances. As a result, Milan have decided not to pursue a permanent transfer, meaning the 24-year-old will return to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Felix’s future at Chelsea remains uncertain, as the Blues offloaded him just months after making his move from Atletico Madrid permanent. With Chelsea continuing their squad rebuild, it remains to be seen whether he will have a role under Enzo Maresca next season or if the club will look for another loan or transfer solution.
