Chelsea captain Reece James has named former Blues boss Thomas Tuchel as the best manager he has worked with during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking about Tuchel’s impact, James praised the German’s ability to deliver silverware when it seemed least likely, highlighting his leadership during a challenging period for the club.

“The best coach from the ones I’ve worked with. There’s various reasons why. He brought trophies to Chelsea when we probably least expected it, in a difficult period,” James said.

Tuchel, who famously guided Chelsea to Champions League glory in 2021, is now the manager of the England national team. He has included James in his squad for the upcoming international fixtures against Albania and Latvia, marking a significant opportunity for the Blues right-back under his former coach once again.
