Manchester United have no intention of bringing Jadon Sancho back to Old Trafford, with the club planning for next season without the 24-year-old winger.

Sancho’s loan move to Chelsea last summer appeared to mark the end of his United career, and it’s understood that the Red Devils are keen to move on from the player who cost them over £70million from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.

During his three-year stint at United, Sancho struggled to live up to expectations, scoring just nine goals in 58 Premier League appearances.

His relationship with then-manager Erik ten Hag broke down, leading to his exile from the squad and subsequent loan departure to Chelsea.

Although Sancho made a promising start to life at Stamford Bridge, his form has dipped in recent weeks, and he’s been criticised for his performances.

He has not scored or provided a goal since January, and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea will opt to make his loan move permanent.

Should Sancho return to United, it’s likely that the club’s new owners, INEOS, would look to move him on quickly to raise funds for Ruben Amorim’s squad overhaul.

Now, the focus shifts to Chelsea. Will the Blues see enough potential in Sancho to negotiate a permanent deal, or will his Stamford Bridge stay be cut short?

Chelsea have an obligation to sign Sancho permanently if the club finishes above 14th place, but the Blues are looking away from this nevertheless.
