Chelsea captain Reece James has once again expressed his unwavering loyalty and deep affection for the club he has called home for nearly two decades.
“It means everything to me,” James said, beaming with pride. “It’s an amazing feeling – not only for me but also for my family.”
James, who has been part of Chelsea since his childhood, takes immense pride in representing the club. One of his personal traditions is ensuring that the Chelsea crest, featuring the iconic rampant lion, is always visible on his socks during matches.
“Yeah, it’s something I do on purpose,” James explained. “I just prefer to have Chelsea showing.”
Unfortunately, the 24-year-old was unable to lead his side against Leicester City due to illness. He reported a fever and a high temperature on Saturday, and the club’s medical team deemed him unfit to play.
Despite his absence, James’ commitment to Chelsea remains unquestionable, and fans will be eager to see their captain back on the pitch soon, leading the team with the same passion and dedication he has shown since breaking into the senior team.
