Axel Disasi has been thriving on loan at Aston Villa, and the club is now keen to make his stay permanent. However, they are set to face competition from other Premier League clubs for the Chelsea defender.

Disasi made a deadline-day loan move to Villa Park in January, with manager Unai Emery personally pushing for his signing. Since then, the Frenchman has impressed with his performances, quickly becoming a fan favourite among Villa supporters.

His impact has been so significant that Foot Mercato reports Aston Villa are eager to keep him beyond his loan spell, although there is no buy option included in the current deal. Meanwhile, other clubs have also taken notice of his strong displays.

One of those clubs could be Tottenham Hotspur, who showed interest in Disasi late in the winter window. However, the defender reportedly rejected the move, not wanting to join one of Chelsea’s biggest rivals.

For now, Disasi is set to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, but his future remains uncertain. With Chelsea and Villa battling for Champions League qualification, a decision on his long-term destination will likely come in the summer transfer window.
