Enzo Maresca hints at settled goalkeeping choice for Chelsea

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has provided clarity on the club’s goalkeeping situation, indicating that he wants to move away from frequent changes between Filip Jorgensen and Robert Sanchez.

The two goalkeepers have been rotated throughout the season, but Maresca has now suggested that a more settled approach is the plan going forward.

“We have two goalkeepers. The idea is not to change them. We changed in the past but hopefully not in the future,” the Italian coach stated.

His comments suggest that one of Jorgensen or Sanchez is likely to establish themselves as Chelsea’s undisputed No.1 for the remainder of the season, providing much-needed stability at the back.

It seems his earlier first choice Robert Sanchez is ready to resume as first choice goalkeeper once again, with Jorgensen failing to capitalise on his cameo appearances.
