Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha has claimed that Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca doesn’t seem to get enough credit.

Chelsea’s season has been filled with highs and lows, but Onuoha believes Chelsea will come good at the end under Maresca. He believes the inconsistency is down to the young Chelsea squad.

He said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Enzo Maresca doesn’t necessarily get a ton of credit from people. But in reality, it seems like the players understand it and can play to it.

“When they do, they score a ton of goals. But the snag for them is that the squad is so young.

“When you have a young squad, you have the highs and then you get the lows. As time goes on, you expect their young defenders to understand situations and manage them better.”
