Cole Palmer may be enduring an eight-game goal drought, but Enzo Maresca insists the Chelsea star is not letting it affect his confidence.

The 22-year-old has struggled to find the back of the net in recent matches, missing several big chances, but Maresca remains unconcerned.

Speaking in his press conference, the Chelsea boss reassured fans that Palmer is still in a good place mentally:

“When you score a goal you are more happy because your goals help the team to win. But overall, Cole is fine. He’s happy.”

Maresca acknowledged that every player goes through rough patches, and Palmer is no exception:

“He knows he’s struggled to score goals in this moment, but that it’s something normal that during the season can happen.”

Despite Palmer’s dip in form, Maresca praised his attitude in training, emphasizing that he remains focused and unaffected by the lack of goals:

“Watching him during the training session you don’t think it’s affecting him, he’s fantastic.”

With Chelsea preparing for key fixtures, Maresca will be hoping Palmer rediscovers his scoring touch soon, as the Blues push for a strong finish to the season.
