Despite Chelsea securing a 2-1 victory over FC Copenhagen in the Europa Conference League, former Blues defender Frank Leboeuf was far from impressed with the team’s display, particularly in the first half.

Leboeuf expressed his frustration over Chelsea’s lack of urgency, stating:

“I was so bored in the first half. It was awful, that was boring.”

The Frenchman, who won multiple trophies with Chelsea, believes the team has lost some of the direct attacking intent they displayed before the winter period:

“We want to see the Chelsea we saw before winter, when they were more vertical and didn’t just [focus] on keeping the ball.”

Chelsea currently sit fifth in the Premier League standings but have the opportunity to return to the top four if they defeat Leicester City at Stamford Bridge this weekend. Fans will be hoping for a more entertaining performance as the Blues aim to strengthen their push for a Champions League spot.
