Chelsea-bound wonderkid Estevão Willian has reached an impressive milestone with Palmeiras, further proving why the Blues invested heavily in his talent.
The 17-year-old attacker scored twice in Palmeiras’ Campeonato Paulista victory over São Bernardo, continuing his remarkable rise in Brazilian football.
With these goals, Estevão has now scored 20 times and provided 10 assists in just 57 senior appearances for Palmeiras. This achievement sees him join an elite group, as he becomes the first Brazilian to reach 20 goals before turning 18 since Neymar, who accomplished the feat with Santos before his move to Barcelona.
Chelsea have secured Estevão’s signing in a deal worth up to €60 million, and the young forward is set to arrive at Stamford Bridge later this year.
With his numbers and performances drawing comparisons to one of Brazil’s greatest modern talents, Chelsea fans have plenty to be excited about when Estevão finally dons the blue shirt.
