Chelsea have no plans to sign a new goalkeeper this summer, despite recent reports suggesting otherwise, according to the Daily Mail.
Spanish outlet Fichajes had claimed that the Blues were eyeing a fresh addition between the sticks, but the English publication has refuted these claims, stating that strengthening the goalkeeping department is not a priority for the club in the upcoming transfer window.
Instead, Chelsea’s focus remains on developing their current goalkeepers, with Filip Jorgensen and Mike Penders seen as key long-term options.
Additionally, the club welcomes the current competition among their goalkeepers, rather than seeking external reinforcements.
For now, Jorgensen retains his status as Chelsea’s first-choice goalkeeper while being rivalled by Sanchez, while Petrovic is impressing on loan. Unless plans change, the Blues are expected to stick with their existing options heading into the next season.
