Chelsea remain in contention to sign Victor Osimhen this summer, with Napoli director Giovanni Manna confirming that the club is working on a resolution regarding the striker’s future.
“It’s true that Victor Osimhen has a release clause into his contract,” Manna told the media, confirming reports that the Nigerian forward is available for €75 million.
Chelsea, alongside Manchester United, Juventus, PSG, and Saudi Arabian clubs, have all been strongly linked with Osimhen, who has been in sensational form for Galatasaray on loan. The 25-year-old striker has scored 20 goals and provided five assists in 25 games, proving his quality once again.
Napoli, keen to avoid another drawn-out transfer saga, are pushing for a quick resolution.
“We’re working to find a solution as soon as possible to avoid a late transfer as happened last summer,” Manna added, hinting at the club’s urgency in finalising Osimhen’s future.
Chelsea’s search for a prolific striker has led them to Osimhen, and with the €75 million release clause, the Blues could make a decisive move in the coming months.
