Chelsea have made a historic move in Kazakhstani football by sending a coach to Kairat Almaty for two years to oversee the development of young talent Dastan Satpayev.
Kairat Almaty chief Kairat Boranbaev confirmed the arrangement, stating that the Chelsea specialist will live and work at the club to train Satpayev under the London side’s development program.
“Satpayev is not a UK citizen. At the same time, Chelsea for two years sends a coach to Kairat who will work with Dastan under the Londoners’ program within our club, to bring him to the age of 18,” Boranbaev told Sport-Express.
The partnership ensures close coordination between Kairat Almaty and Chelsea regarding the player’s progression.
“We will coordinate his participation in matches with the coach from Chelsea. The specialist will live at our base. The Londoners pay for all this,” Boranbaev added.
The deal marks a major milestone for Kazakhstani football, with Boranbaev highlighting the significance of the transfer.
“I can only say one thing. This is the biggest transfer in the history of Kazakhstani football. Money goes directly to our club.”
Satpayev’s two-year loan spell at Kairat will allow him to gain experience before making the move to London, with Chelsea ensuring his development is closely monitored.
