Chelsea’s crushing 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Friday has sparked intense backlash from fans, with many questioning Enzo Maresca’s tactics, man management, and even his commitment to the job.

Some supporters have even suggested that the Italian manager may be deliberately trying to get himself sacked.

The Blues’ performance at the Amex Stadium was one of their worst in recent memory, failing to register a single shot on target despite dominating possession. Frustrated Chelsea fans took to social media to voice their anger, with calls for Maresca’s dismissal growing louder.

“Maresca is an embarrassment,” wrote CFCDaily, summing up the discontent among supporters.

One of the biggest concerns among fans is Maresca’s handling of key players, particularly in the transfer market. SuNEL echoed these frustrations, writing: “He somehow managed to get Veiga, Nkunku, Felix to agree terms with other clubs. Poor man management, shite football.”

The criticism didn’t stop there. aTNISS went even further, suggesting that Maresca’s poor relationships with players may be a deliberate ploy to engineer his own exit.

“Total embarrassment. His terrible man management is a big part of the problem. A disagreement with one player is acceptable, a problem with 3 or more players shows a pattern.”

The fan added: “I honestly wonder if the players are playing this badly in order to get him sacked.”

With Chelsea struggling for consistency and now facing a crisis of confidence, pressure is mounting on Maresca. Whether he can turn things around or if his tenure is already beyond saving remains to be seen, but for now, the fans’ patience is wearing thin.
