Chelsea defender Malo Gusto has stressed the importance of bouncing back quickly after the Blues’ disappointing 3-0 defeat to Brighton.

Speaking after the match, the French full-back acknowledged the team’s poor performance but emphasised the need to focus on the upcoming fixtures.

He said: “It was disappointing. We will give everything to be there at the end of the season. We just have to keep pushing and do our best. It was about us and our performance. Now we have to come back into training and prepare in a good way for the next game.”

Gusto highlighted the significance of Chelsea’s response, insisting that the squad must shift their focus to delivering a strong reaction in their next outing.

“The most important thing is the reaction for the next game. We just need to give our best for the next few games.”

With Chelsea aiming for a top-four finish, Gusto reaffirmed the team’s ambition and called for improvement.

“We just have to do better for the next game because it will be important for us to stay in the top four, and that’s our target.”
