Chelsea’s humiliating 3-0 loss to Brighton has triggered an outpouring of frustration from fans, with many demanding that Levi Colwill be dropped from the squad.

The young defender came under heavy criticism, particularly for his mistake leading to Brighton’s third goal, which further compounded Chelsea’s woes.

Fans took to social media to vent their anger, with some branding Colwill as unfit for the team.

One fan, Lite, described his performance as “Sunday league not worthy,” while Oloyede added, “He is not Chelsea level yet, he is too young and mid to shoulder Chelsea defence probs.”

Others were even harsher in their assessment of the 21-year-old. Bigdaddy Terry didn’t hold back, writing, “That boy is the softest Chelsea defender I have seen my entire life. The boy can be easily outmuscled by a fly. What a terrible player.”

TheChelsV2 went even further, claiming, “This guy is the worst centre back to ever play for this club, I’ve said it time and time again.”

Many fans also questioned Enzo Maresca’s decision to start Colwill ahead of Tosin Adarabioyo. Witty Chunky argued, “Tosin should be playing with Chalobah not Colwill. He’s not that strong and he makes a lot of mistakes.”

With Chelsea’s season already under pressure, Enzo Maresca has a lot on his plate in the coming weeks.
