Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that winger Noni Madueke has suffered an injury setback following the Blues’ 3-0 loss to Brighton.
Madueke was forced off after a collision during the match, adding to Chelsea’s growing injury concerns.
Speaking after the defeat, Maresca provided an update on the winger’s condition.
“Madueke was unfortunately hit by a problem in the back thigh, and he’s going to be out for a while,” the Chelsea boss stated.
The extent of the injury and the length of Madueke’s absence remain unclear, but Maresca’s words suggest the winger could be sidelined for an extended period. Chelsea will now have to assess their attacking options as they navigate a crucial stage of the season.
