Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has shared his expectations ahead of the Blues’ Premier League showdown with Brighton, predicting another aggressive encounter similar to their recent cup meeting.

“I expect a similar one because it is not just against us, but in all the games they try to be aggressive. I expect a very similar game,” Maresca stated.

With Chelsea having already faced Brighton this season, the Italian coach believes familiarity with their tactics could work in his side’s favour.

“Because it’s fresh in your mind; the game, the way they attack and defend. It is never easy but we know what they do and try to do so it is probably better to face them again,” he added.

Chelsea will take on Brighton tomorrow, February 14, at 20:00 CET, as they aim to secure a crucial victory in their push for European qualification.
