Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has addressed the club’s ongoing injury concerns but insists that every Premier League team is facing similar struggles.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Brighton, Maresca pointed out that even the league’s top sides are dealing with key absences.
“The good thing about the injury one is we are all in the same situation,” Maresca stated.
He highlighted recent injury setbacks for Chelsea’s rivals, including Manchester City and Arsenal, to emphasise that squad depth and adaptability are crucial at this stage of the season.
“You see City in the last game, it was Akanji out, Grealish out. Arsenal, I don’t know how important the injury is for the striker [Kai Havertz].”
Despite the setbacks, Maresca remains focused on finding solutions to keep Chelsea competitive.
“We are all on the same page. It is just a matter now to see if we can find different solutions.”
With Chelsea pushing for a strong finish in the Premier League and Europe, Maresca’s ability to navigate through these injury challenges will be key to maintaining momentum.
