Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has provided further injury updates ahead of the Blues’ clash with Brighton, confirming that both Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu will be sidelined for the foreseeable future.
With Chelsea’s attacking options now severely limited, the pressure will mount on Christopher Nkunku, who has struggled for consistent minutes under Maresca this season.
The Chelsea boss also shared updates on the club’s defensive injuries, offering hope that key players will soon be available.
“Marc Guiu will be out for a while. Romeo Lavia is in the process to come back with us, Benoit Badiashile exactly the same. Wesley Fofana needs two or three weeks to be 100% fit with us,” Maresca stated.
With Jackson and Guiu out, Chelsea face a growing challenge in attack, making Nkunku’s return to form even more crucial as the Blues continue their push for European qualification.
