Former Chelsea star and current president of the Ukrainian Football Association, Andriy Shevchenko, has publicly addressed the doping scandal involving Mykhailo Mudryk, who plays for both Chelsea and the Ukrainian national team.
“We’ve received requests from his lawyers and are in contact with him,” Shevchenko confirmed, highlighting the ongoing communication with Mudryk amid the controversy.
Expressing his disappointment over the situation, Shevchenko added, “It’s unfortunate that this situation unfolded the way it did. Misha Mudryk is a crucial player for our national team, and we’ll continue to support him.”
As Mudryk faces scrutiny over the allegations, both Chelsea and Ukraine will be closely monitoring developments, with Shevchenko’s backing providing a strong message of solidarity for the young winger.
