Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca insists there’s no reason to dwell on the Blues’ FA Cup elimination after their fourth-round defeat to Brighton last night.
Despite the disappointing result, Maresca remained optimistic, highlighting the opportunities that come with an early exit from the competition.
“We tried to come here and play our game,” Maresca said. “We had some chances at 2-1. Now we can focus on the Premier League and the Conference League.”
While the loss was a setback, Maresca emphasised the team’s commitment to winning, even if results don’t always go their way. “We always try to win games. But at the same time you have to take the consequences of the result.”
With the FA Cup no longer in their sights, Chelsea will now turn their full attention to climbing the Premier League table and making a strong push in the Conference League under Maresca’s leadership.
