Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has addressed the departure of Portuguese forward Joao Felix, who secured a loan move from Chelsea to AC Milan during the winter transfer window.

Felix, 25, made an immediate impact at his new club, scoring in his debut cup match against Roma at San Siro.

Despite Felix’s strong start in Italy, Maresca insists that Chelsea have no regrets about the decision to let him go. “We don’t miss Joao Felix. He’s happy at Milan, and we’re happy that he’s doing well there,” Maresca stated.

The Italian coach acknowledged the club faced challenges on transfer deadline day due to injuries in the squad. “We had two injured strikers on deadline day, so it was difficult to make the decision for this transfer,” he explained.

However, Maresca remains confident that Chelsea’s attacking options will be reinforced soon. “But Nicolas Jackson may return very soon, so we still made this decision.”
