According to Football.London, Chelsea centre-back Benoit Badiashile is close to making his return after recovering from a hamstring injury sustained two months ago.
The French defender has not featured for the Blues since their 2-0 victory over Tottenham on December 8.
Badiashile is now back on the grass, participating in individual training sessions as he steps up his recovery. His absence forced Chelsea to recall Trevoh Chalobah and Aaron Anselmino from their loan spells, while Axel Disasi was sent out on loan.
In the meantime, Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo have formed the first-choice centre-back pairing for Enzo Maresca, with Wesley Fofana still sidelined due to injury. Badiashile’s return will provide a timely boost to Chelsea’s defensive options as they push forward in the season.
