Despite his sensational form for Chelsea this season—14 goals and 6 assists—Cole Palmer has made a surprising revelation about his feelings towards Stamford Bridge.
Speaking exclusively to Sky Sports, the Chelsea star admitted he doesn’t particularly enjoy playing at the club’s home ground. Instead, he has a soft spot for Old Trafford, where he used to watch matches as a child.
“When I go back to Old Trafford, it makes me feel good because I used to go and watch matches there,” Palmer said.
The 21-year-old further revealed his admiration for Manchester United and Wayne Rooney, adding: “Obviously, I supported Man Utd, and Wayne Rooney was probably the best player when I watched them.”
His comments come as a surprise, considering his Manchester City roots, but Palmer remains a key figure in Chelsea’s attack, proving his worth under Enzo Maresca.
