Chelsea have approached Manchester City regarding the availability of their highly-rated midfielder Nico O’Reilly, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

However, securing a deal appears to be a challenging task, as City are reportedly reluctant to part ways with the talented youngster. O’Reilly, a product of the club’s academy, has made six appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side this season, finding the back of the net once.

The 18-year-old’s emergence at City has caught the attention of several clubs, but Chelsea’s inquiry signals their intent to add more young talent to their squad. 

Despite their interest, convincing City to sell one of their homegrown prospects will not be easy.
