Aston Villa have halted negotiations for Chelsea defender Axel Disasi after failing to agree on a transfer fee, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romano reported: “At this time of Deadline Day, Aston Villa have stopped talks for Disasi, considering different options.”
The French defender had already agreed personal terms with Villa, but Chelsea’s valuation became a stumbling block.
Romano explained: “Disasi agreed terms with Villa last week but Chelsea still request higher fee due to direct UCL competition.”
Meanwhile, Tottenham have had their bid for Disasi accepted, leaving the final decision in the hands of the player.
Romano confirmed: “Chelsea accepted Spurs bid for Disasi, up to the player.”
With the clock ticking on Deadline Day, Disasi now faces a key choice between staying at Chelsea or making a late move to North London.
