Chelsea academy graduate Harvey Vale is set to join Queens Park Rangers on a permanent deal, with both clubs finalising the transfer on Thursday evening, according to The Mail.
The 21-year-old, who was previously named Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year, has opted for a fresh challenge, with QPR winning the race for his signature. Chelsea have waived a transfer fee in exchange for a significant sell-on clause and performance-based bonuses, ensuring they retain a financial stake in his future.
Vale is expected to undergo his medical, likely on Friday, before the move is officially completed. His departure ends a long-standing association with Chelsea, having joined the club’s academy at the age of 12.
The versatile midfielder, who has previously had loan spells at Hull City and Bristol Rovers, will now look to establish himself as a key figure in QPR’s squad as they push to secure their Championship status.
